History: Istroldryn, despite how strange his looks are, is pure Drow. He was born underground in a cave to a large clan of Drow, to a family that was utterly baffled when he came out displaying patches of white skin alongside the black. Still, he was a Drow, and he was one of them.
Istoldryn was always awkward from a young age. He didn’t get along well with others, he wasn’t mean or malicious, nor was he interested in magic in any way. Instead he took up archery, which wasn’t all that abnormal in their group, but he was still always the odd kid out. Which eventually became him being the odd man out.
When Istoldryn was grown, his family finally gave up and told him to just leave. He was awkward and making everyone uncomfortable, he just wasn’t like the rest of the Drow in his group.
That didn’t bother Istoldryn though, to each their own. He had no attachments to them anyway, he figured, and he’d probably find some sort of life changing adventure if he was on the outside.
He began to travel, going from town to town to learn things on his own, until finally he met an elf with scarring all over the left half of his body. The elf, a man named Garae, was practically a legend in his neck of the words, capable of bringing down a dragon in record time. Istoldryn figured that they both looked odd, they might as well travel together.
To his surprise, Garae accepted and took him on as a terribly awkward and weird apprentice. No reason not to. Istoldryn traveled with Garae and his wife Ameliee, and his skill with a bow improved tenfold as he learned how to be silent and stealthy. He learned and gained an appreciation for nature, and when his training was complete he went on his way with a fond farewell.
Istoldryn is still sort of waiting for a cliche life changing adventure, but until it happens, he just likes to travel with his own company.
