Tecotta was born into The War.
The War was a period of time that lasted for four decades, involved seventy countries, and led to the death of over a billion people. While there will always be some debate on what caused The War, no one truly knows anymore – anything documenting it is gone now.
Tecotta’s egg was bought and hatched among hundreds of others, of varying species, and he was raised to do one thing; fight The War. His life was tailored to this, and everything he did had one purpose. He, and the others he knew, became soldiers for their country, whose name was eventually lost.
The War only ended when there were no more weapons to use, no more battalions to fight, no more money and no more resources. After forty years of horror, it was at an end, yet it didn’t end with peace.
The soldiers of The War had all died off. The countries lost their cultures, currencies, and finally their names. Politicians were assassinated or put to death by the common folk. The War was expunged from history books, all records wiped. Anyone who spoke of The War would be severely punished.
The few remaining soldiers from The War went on the run to preserve their lives, for now only they- and a select few others -knew the truth behind it. What it was like, what led to it, what the countries were named.
Being a soldier meant having one purpose, and that purpose never involved friends. As such, Tecotta- and the other two survivors from his country -went their separate ways when The War ended. Tecotta became a traveler, a silent observer interested in seeing the world rebuilt. He roams from place to place now, never settling in one location, carrying his secrets with him
